15:58 Thu, Feb 7 2008 01:48 71556 segments Happy Chinese New Year Guys! I kinda rushed it a bit but here it is :P I dunno why I did this but here's a few tips on Chinese customs, superstitions and traditions on Chinese New Year (Feb 7th 2008, then goes on for 15 days).
Tips: 1: Wear red for maximum luck! 2: Setting off fire works to say goodbye to the old year! 3: Don't cry or else you will cry all year! 4: Do not mention 4 as it will bring bad luck! 5: Red birds is a sign of luck on the new year! 6: Do not wash, it will discard all your good luck! 7: Decorate your house with fruit trees and plants! 8: Pay off all your debts by the new year and don't lend anyone anything! 9: And the all time favourite: lucky money, married couples give away these to relatives and friends. Call up uncles and aunts now! |
